It's not a secret that expats life is stressful, a language problem, a new culture, new surrounding. I'm looking for the unconventional ways to release tension. One of my friend mentioned massaging ears. Did you try it? What's your idea?

I like reading celebrity gossips on the websites or in magazines. Don't judge please:-)

I would recommend you knitting. Knitting is a kind of meditation. When I knit, I feel like tension leaves my bodies and I become so focused on the knitting that I often lose track of what is going on around me.

Do try out your friend’s suggestion of ear massage (auriculotherapy), Kate. The ears provide direct access to the central and peripheral nervous systems, and giving yourself a 'feel-good ear rub' will have you ‘floating’ in no time (5 mins should do it :-).

One word: sex. It's a great stress reliever!

Meditation, the best method (besides sex!).
Here are some useful links: videos for beginners, an interesting article on relaxation techniques or mindfulness meditation.
Hope it helps :-)
