Just wanted to put in a link to my post on the Book Club thread: http://insego.com/group/internationaldutchbookclub/forum/topics/whod-like-to-join-a-monthly

Is anyone interested in an English book/social club? The idea is to meet once a month at one of the members' homes, have some wine and snacks, and discuss the month's book. De Slegte has a couple of good ones in their English bin now, and we'll figure out how to go from there.

This looks like a good group! I am from the West Coast of the USA and have lived in Enschede for about 18 months after spending about seven years in Germany. Made the move to Europe because of a relationship. Moving to the Netherlands was always in the cards since Kim is Dutch. Really enjoying living here so far!

Just saw this new group and thought I'd join. I am Dutch but lived in San Francisco for the past 12 years (just moved here 3 months ago). I miss it a lot but I doubt we'll go back to live there any time soon...

Olja - It was the main one on south fifth avenue. I'm here in Enschede because I married a Dutch guy who was born and raised here. We spent a long time trying to decide who would move, but since he already had a daughter here, I came over.

I do like it mostly. It's a much smaller town that I am used to, so I miss the big city. I miss my friends and family terribly, as to be expected. I've been here almost three years, so things have gotten better, but I was horribly homesick in the beginning and still am on occasion.

Hi Sheri, in which one(public library), we went most of time in one at Plymouth road, close so UM family housing. we lived there from 2004 till the October 2006.
What brings you here, in Enschede?

True, life goes on! But from all the countries I lived in (expect my home coountry) it was my favorite. A vacation there would be nice. And they just put up direct flights from oslo to ny taht are not that expensive so now it might happen sooner then later :)

Hey guys, I came to the Netherlands from Albuquerque, New Mexico, but Olja, I spent almost two years living in Ypsilanti and working at the Ann Arbor public library :)
