It's not unusual for people to be confused by all the different 'Yogas" advertised - Iyengar Yoga; Ashtanga Yoga; Power Yoga etc. What they have in common is that they are ALL ... HATHA YOGA. HATHA YOGA is the umbrella term used to describe all asana (posture/pose) practice.

The goal of HATHA YOGA is to achieve a balance (union) between mind and body. Because Yoga practitioners repeatedly practise a series of demanding exercises, their bodies tend to be in good shape - flexible yet strong. But this strength and flexibility goes further than the physical body.

Interestingly, after practising HATHA YOGA for a while, it becomes evident to the practitioner, that not only has his physical( but also his mental)strength and flexibility increased! Assuredly, the practice of HATHA YOGA promises practitioners self-improvement - physically and mentally.

Namaste ... Angel
