HATHA YOGA is the umbrella term used to describe all asana (posture/pose) practice.

A 'usual' class explores a range of poses for increased vitality, flexibility, strength, balance and mental focus.

Also, a 'usual' class aims to encourage an awareness not only of physical benefits, but also of the many subtle levels on which YOGA can enrich ... and challenge.

Special attention is given to conscious alignment, breath and relaxation/meditation.

HATHA YOGA is not competitive. Each person is encouraged to develop in their YOGA practice at their own level, depth and speed - in harmony with the individual characteristics of their own body, breath and mind.

What I know is that Hatha Yoga can help you recognize your hidden physical and mental potentials and relaxation exercises will open the energy channels. Hatha Yoga can also help you cope with stress, relieve tension, and deal with anxiety and depression.

That's why I joined Angel class, I like especially breathing exercises, and balancing poses. I still go to the gym every week and I wouldn't miss it for the world but I feel that Yoga increases my flexibility. I noticed that back pain disappeared; only I still need to persuade myself to stay for the relaxation. Above everything I love to have the teacher who cares when you miss a class:))

Angel is right, Hatha Yoga fills you with energy, as a form of exercise it can consist of various asanas -stretching exercises, pranayama- breathing practices, and guided relaxation to release body tension. Breathing exercises increase lung capacity and also act as a natural tranquilize. Balancing poses increase concentration, it’s is a good method of getting fit and staying fit, and incredible for stress management.
